Support Downtown Woodbury
We are a community driven nonprofit working to preserve this city's traditional
downtown and build a stronger local economy, and we cannot do it without you. If you
can give, your money goes straight into the market, the events, and the streetscape. If
you would rather show up, we need hands at almost everything we run.

Ways To Donate To Main Street Woodbury
Main Street Woodbury, Inc is a community driven nonprofit, and community driven means exactly what it sounds like. Donations fund the operating work behind the market, the events, and everything happening on Main Street.
Give Once
One gift, any amount, any time of year. It
goes straight into the work happening on
Main Street right now.
Give Monthly
Recurring support is the most useful
thing you can do for a small nonprofit. It
is how we plan past the next event
instead of one at a time.
Corporate Giving
Companies and institutions giving at a
larger scale. We will talk through where it
goes, what it funds, and how you are
recognized.
Main Street Woodbury is a registered 501(c)(3). Donations are handled securely through Zeffy, and your receipt arrives by email.
What Your Membership Pays For
A fair question, and the honest answer is that it does not go to one thing. Membership dues fund general operations, and general operations is what pays for the four things below.

The Farmers Market
Eight Saturdays a year of setup, permits, promotion, and the staff time it takes to keep vendors coming back.

The Events
The ghost tours, the golf challenge, and everything else we put on that gives people a reason to come downtown.

The Streetscape
Plantings, lighting, signage, and storefront improvements. The parts of downtown you notice without thinking about them.

The Grant Work
Applications take staff hours and most grants require matching funds. Dues cover both, which is how a small membership turns into a much larger investment in this city.
Volunteer
Volunteer in Downtown Woodbury
Volunteering here is not a membership and it is not a commitment. It is a few hours, once or as often as you want, doing something specific that has a visible result by the end of the day. Tell us what interests you and we will find the right spot.

Ways To Volunteer
Market Saturdays
Help vendors unload, set up
tables, and break down at the
end. The most hands on work
we do and the easiest to
learn.
Ghost Tour Nights
Check in guests, hand out
tickets, and keep groups
moving between stops on tour weekend.
Golf Challenge
Run registration, staff a hole,
or help with setup and scoring
on tournament day.
Downtown Improvements
Planting, cleanup, and
seasonal decorating along
Main Street. Outdoor work, no
experience needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, in most cases. Main Street Woodbury has been a registered 501(c)(3) since 1997, and unlike membership dues, a straight donation comes with no benefits attached, which usually makes the full amount deductible. Talk to a tax professional about your own situation.
Can I choose what my donation pays for?
Generally no, and that is deliberate. Donations go into the general operating fund, which is the money that pays for staff time, permits, insurance, and the hundred unglamorous things no grant will cover. If you want your gift directed to something specific, email us and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.
Can I cancel or change my monthly donation?
Any time, and without talking to anyone. Zeffy sends a confirmation email with a link to manage your recurring gift, so you can change the amount or stop it entirely whenever you want. No phone call, no form, no explanation required.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No. Nearly everything on this list is learned in about ten minutes by watching whoever got there first. If you can lift a folding table, greet a stranger, or follow a list, you can do this. The one exception is anything requiring specific training, and we would tell you that before you agreed to it.
What happens after I submit the volunteer form?
Someone reads it and contacts you, usually within a week, to talk through which opportunity fits and what dates work. Some roles require a waiver or an approval, and if yours does, we will send you whatever you need to complete. Nothing is confirmed until you have heard back from a person.
