On December 4, 2013 Woodbury’s Mayor Bill Volk and Councilmembers along with representatives from Main Street Woodbury, Woodbury’s Merchant’s Association and the Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening ibbon cutting will take place in front of the new location for Tiki Tiki Board Games and the office for Island Officials video game development studio located at 232 S Broad Street. Dessert will be served after the ceremony complements of Del Mar.
Partners, Ryan Morrison, Ryan Harbinson & Tyler Ager, are the masterminds of Tiki Tiki Board Games and Island Officials video game development studio. The Tiki Tiki store features all the board games most of us grew up with like Monopoly, Twister, Candyland, Battleship, and carries many new games like Dominion, 7 Wonders and Pixel Lincoln the Deck Building game developed by Island Officials.
Island Officials video game development studio is staged in the back portion of the store. It is where their team creates the digital games, tabletop games, apps and websites. Island Officials is responsible for the Nintendo game Hands On! Tangrams and the Ryan’s won the Atari Community Choice Award for their entry, Pong EVO, in Atari’s Pong Indie Developer Challenge. They are now debuting their newest computer generated game for Nintendo called Orion’s odyssey and the digital counterpart for Pixel Lincoln should be released in early 2014.
Tiki Tiki has been a retailer in Woodbury for over a year now and just relocated to the new, larger space to accommodate their business expansion.
According to Morrison, “We like it here in Woodbury. The space works for our retail business and our service business. It is a very close knit community that has embraced us as individuals as well as our business. I feel very fortunate to be able to work in the great town where I grew up.”
